All good things come to an end, but we had something to look forward to: Caleb graduates tomorrow!
We packed the car, pulled a mole out of our host's cat's mouth, conducted the burial and set off on our way. We took some lovely photos at Gariep, stopped for lunch at Bloem, left the N1 at Kroonstad and took the back roads via Parys and Westonaria to surprise Bren's family in Randburg before getting home to a son and two cats who did seem to have missed us.
It's hard to put into words what this holiday meant for us. After pretty constant pressure and some tough times since Oct 2019, it was incredibly good to get away. As a couple we are so amazed at how good it is to spend so much time alone together. We are enthralled at the beauty of our country both stark and lush. We loved connecting to special people in our loves. We loved the simplicity of the road trip and the camping and are grateful to God, family and church that we had this privilege to experience it all!
