Woke up in Mel
kbosstrand after a slightly drizzly night. We all slept well and our little tent kept out the rain. Packing up a wet tent is always a mission, but it went well. We had a very dirty car from our dirt road escapades
on Sunday, so we went to the carwash. Then off to BlouwbergStrand and Caleb's first view of Table Mountain!!! It was very misty so not too much to see. It was awesome to see Robben Island as we went along. Then we went off to Somerset West to get the camper van. Caleb was so excited to see it standing outside the home of Roger and Sandy and their uncle Neil. We got given the great tour of how everything works and then we loaded our stuff from the car, parked it at their storage and then we were off!
WOW!!! Caleb beamed all the way and even the rain which drizzled down did not dampen his joy! We drove around the little roads around the wine routes in Stellenbosch finding some stunning little spots. The vehicle is enormous and Theo felt quite challenged learning to drive it. But its amazing! A toilet, two tables, two double beds, a shower, stove, fridg
e, stove and micro-wave!
We spent most of the evening packing our belongings into all the little cupboards and nooks and crannies and then it was time for bed....
