From the Mountains to the Sea

The lady at the Bergville caravan park warned us that temperatures could drop to -4!! Fortunately it didn't get quite so cold. We all slept well, thanks to the heaters and warm blankets. George had a cache to find in the next door playground.
Then we loaded all the luggage back in to the boot to head off to the first geocache of the day at Thokoziza which is a lovely arty-crafty stall between Winterton and the turn-off to Injasuti.

We stopped at the Waterbend in the Natal Midlands but all the grass was blackened from a recent veld-fire so we pushed on to the coast and to Ramsgate. We picked up the keys to "Musselcracker" which is one of the homes we're hiring.

Adele and Kevin (with Jessica and Claire), Grant and Lynne (with Eric) and John and Jen (with Luke and Mark) had already arrived and were settling in at "On the Rocks" the house belonging to Lynne's folks. Brenda and the boys went down to the water's edge while Theo went off to shop for all the essentials. The Groeneveld's catered and we had braaied chicken drummies, rice, potatoes and salad for supper and fruit salad for pudding.

Then it was early to bed for the weary travellers.
